X is for Xenomania

28th Apr 2021 / Pamela J / 5 Comments

Welcome to the A to Z challenge, a blog post everyday of April apart from Sundays, covering every letter of the alphabet. My theme is travel, that thing that we haven’t been able to do over the last 12 months, so it seemed appropriate to reminisce about past travels we’ve taken, looking forward to when … Continue reading X is for Xenomania

Cats in a Museum

20th Jun 202020th Jun 2020 / Pamela J / Leave a comment

As lockdown continues for us in Scotland, we're continuing to relive our trip to Amsterdam in February 2019. Opposite our lovely hotel there was a great cafe called Bagels and Beans, and they are dotted all over Amsterdam. It was perfect for breakfast each day as it overlooked the harbour and had a great atmosphere. … Continue reading Cats in a Museum

Home Sweet Home

8th Jun 2020 / Pamela J / Leave a comment

I'm still here, at home, hopefully staying safe. How are you? Going stir crazy, or are you getting back to the new version of normality. My constant companions through lockdown are the two brats, who sit on chairs next to me whilst I'm working, follow me around the house when I do things, and Lord … Continue reading Home Sweet Home

A Pause in Nature

31st May 2020 / Pamela J / Leave a comment

How are you? The world is slowly getting back to normal so please stay safe for yourself and for everyone else. We love watching natures creatures enjoy the garden, so Ken has created a hedgehog hotel and I've made a sign for it so they can spot it easily. This is the view of the … Continue reading A Pause in Nature

Isolation Continues

24th May 2020 / Pamela J / Leave a comment

How are you? Surviving in whatever stage of lockdown you're currently at? We're doing okay but it feels really strange not going anywhere and knowing I won't be able to until at least mid July. There are really silly little things that I'm missing, and one of those was Vegemite, my taste of home, as … Continue reading Isolation Continues

Life in Lockdown

11th May 2020 / Pamela J / Leave a comment

I can't believe it's a year this month since I wrote a post for this blog. Life definitely got in the way of writing with one of those things being a really bad car crash which happened a year ago this month. Thankfully Ken wasn't injured physically, whereas I ended up spending two nights in … Continue reading Life in Lockdown

Just a few of the postbox toppers around Nairn that are celebrating 115 years of scouting. Each creation represents different merit badges - my favourite is the swans with rubbish attached for the eco badge. 🧢
Today we went on the @nevisrange gondola to nearly the top of Aonach MΓ²r, the 8th highest mountain in Britain.
Gorgeous planter in Nairn High Street. 🌼
Beautiful Bramble Jelly Sassy Pants. πŸ’œ
Gorgeous day for a swim today at Tarbet Ness - the water was very cold but still lovely. Just after we got out, a seal came by to see what we were up to. πŸ¦β˜€οΈπŸŒŠ
It's a hard life being a cat. #lordrockyhorror
Lovely day out to Grantown today. Topped up on Aussie snacks from @kjsbothybakery and @thecandycoo, added to my tbr stack after a visit to The Bookmark, and of course we had to stop for a cake break at @fionaswholefoods . πŸ“šπŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ°πŸ΅
Beautiful angel in Old Petty Burial Ground.
Lovely wander around Burgie Arboretum in the sunshine with my beloved. πŸ’œ
Scrummy desserts and live music at @thecafeatlogiesteading today. πŸ’œ
Lord Rocky Horror has been extra snuggly since the Princess died, he's looking after us.πŸˆβ€β¬›πŸ’œ
Tonight, our precious Princess Cookie Cat passed over the rainbow bridge. She died naturally as I held her in my arms - we're devastated but so blessed to have had her with us for 19 years. πŸ˜πŸ’œ
