1. It is a real blessing to be living in such a beautiful part of the world and just this morning I looked out the kitchen window to see a young deer in the neighbours garden.
2.The best part of last week was visiting the Highland Wildlife Park where we got to see Hamish the young polar bear and the Scottish wildcat kittens. Wildcats are endangered so it’s really lovely to see a new generation playing in the sun.

3. Every summer, I love seeing the purple heather blanketing the countryside – it’s my favourite colour so Scotland is the perfect place for me.
4. Once upon a time, a guy and a girl met, became friends, and 26 years after that first meeting they are more in love every day, and have three furry children including a princess, a horror, and a dog that thinks she’s a cat.

Cookie is quite the cute cat! Here are my fill-ins: 1. My guiding word for 2018 is kindness. 2. A house is not a home without at least one cat! 3. I look forward to making more art this year. 4. I really need to be more patient, because it’s nicer and healthier.

Auntie Ellen is a wonderful soul. Truly. I like that app for walking. Excellent motivator.I am sorry for being so late. One step forward, three back. Sick dog, Kenzie, is better. But, we had some very bad news about Clyde. However, we are determined to not let it steal joy. Clyde is all about living life with joy. Animals remind me of the little things like that. Sometimes, I need a good cry, but, like Clyde, \”I got dis.\” Hugs.

Don't apologise Annie, we all have things in our lives that make us busy, and definitely don't apologise when you looking after your furbies.Crying is good for all of us, helps us cope with life – let it out and give Clyde a bit hug.

Hi Pam – I had my first flu shot before I left the UK – as I thought it prudent – I don't normally like them or want them: my mother never wanted one when she was stroked (she was given the option) … but my doctor gave me the best shot I've ever had – didn't feel a thing and didn't react!! Also am still healthy 2 months on .. cheers Hilary

I always get my flu shot and am amazed at folks who refuse. My son didn't get his this year and was sick for two weeks. Maybe he has learned his lesson.

I always fall asleep before my husband I just don't stay asleep! Your kitty and pup are both darling! I like your second Fill-in. I used to keep a journal and wrote down the things I was thankful for every day. I am pretty aware of the good things and I am thankful but it would be good to write them down again.

Pamela,Bramble is just a cutie! I love puppies…and kittens (of course)! I got glasses when I was in grade 5 but because my prescription was very strong I rarely wore them. It wasn't until my senior year in high school that I noticed I needed corrective wear a little more. Even then, I was bad to not wear them. I'm just thankful that I can see things far away without my glasses unlike DH. However, reading is a different thing. I can't read text messages or food labels without them which is so aggravating. At least with my iPhone I can make the text larger. Aging eyes really stink! I hope the adoption goes through for the little kitty. Have a good week!
