Time to sit down with a coffee and have a chat. This week Rory at Ink Interrupted has asked us what our favourite way to spend the weekend is. Are you ready? As you can see I’ve gone for a cold bailey’s coffee – scrummy.
What would make our perfect weekend? Is a perfect weekend even possible? That is the big question – I don’t think any weekend starts out as a potentially perfect but in retrospect we’ve had lots of weekends during our lives together that would rank up there.
If I asked Ken I’m sure that vintage cars would feature as part of his perfect weekend as he’s a little bit of a car lover. We’ve been to some really great car festivals in the past and thankfully most of them have more that just cars at them.
One of the things I love about our relationship is that we both try and share in the others interests, even if we don’t quite understand that thing. Ken has patiently waited in a cafe whilst I’ve attended craft shows in the past, and likewise when Ken’s attended an auto jumble I’ve sat with my kindle and a latte.
For both of us, being able to spend extra time in bed is always a good thing so we usually try and have one day as a bit of a rest day. After years of early morning rises for work we both find it really difficult to sleep in, but we keep trying.
When it really comes to the crunch, the most perfect thing for any weekend is being together. Whether that be going out and exploring the highlands, or staying in, sitting side by side on the sofa reading or watching tv with our two furbies, Cookie and Bramble, curled up on our knees. Perfection can be found in the little moments that just slip by.
What makes up your perfect weekend? Before you go, why don’t you pop over to Ink Interrupted and see what my fellow bloggers have come up with for this week’s chat – click here to visit.
Until next time, be good, stay safe, and I hope your next weekend is a really special one.

\”Perfection can be found in the little moments that just slip by.\” I'm gonna need that embroidered on a pillow because it is a Truth Bomb!!! I love the sound of your weekends, and your coffee and cake looks delicious! I often wonder what life will be like for my hubby and I, once the kids are grown and gone and we have time for US. And this sounds just about perfect. 🙂
I'm glad you like my ramblings Rory. We do have fab weekends, even if we don't do much.
A perfect weekend just might be me in my jammies reading a book and drinking coffee.
Your elements of a perfect weekend sound wonderful, Pamela! Now I have just a thing to contribute to your awesome time: You have been nominated for the Mystery Blogger Award! 🎖 Congratulations, let's celebrate! 🥂🍾https://thethreegerbers.blogspot.ch/2017/06/mystery-blogger-award.html
I've done quite a few of those weekends too Denise.
Thank you so much – you know I would nominate you right back. The fruit question made me think I was back in one of those interviews where they try and psych you out.
