Welcome to the A to Z blogging challenge where for the month of April we post everyday except Sundays, corresponding to each letter of the alphabet. I’ve chosen to blog about keeping the romance alive in a relationship along with ideas for married couple dates. Each post will also have a romantic song for you to listen to whilst you read.

Todays romantic activity to do together is Glamping – that’s glamorous camping for those of us that like a little bit of comfort when we’re enjoying the great outdoors. This can be a great compromise if one of you wants to go camping and one wants to stay in a hotel with running water.
Last year we found a fabulous place to stay at Glenshee Ecocamp in Perthshire – set in beautiful Scottish scenery and very peaceful. Additionally, which for me can be a bit of a challenge, there is no wifi, so it’s a break from technology and a chance to focus on each other. We’re actually going glamping for my beloved’s birthday and the Prosecco is packed to celebrate the wonderful man that he is.
G is also for giving, and in any relationship there is give and take – make sure that you give at least as much as you take, but try and give even more. Give your special person the gift of your time, friendship, support, and of course give the gift of your love.
Why don’t you try getting away from it all for a while, and if like me you don’t fancy roughing it too much, then glamping may be just the thing for you.

Never heard of Glamping until now. I would like this much better than the way hubby camped. He roughed it and then some. I didn't much care for that. You two have the most wonderful marriage. I'm enjoying hearing about it.Have a fabulous day and weekend. ♥

Hi Pam – Glamping has really taken on hasn't it … I have been posh camping, put on by others, in the Okavango swamps … but not done it in England – though I know there are sites around Sussex, and I'm quite sure there are places here – cheers Hilary

I have never heard of glamping, but it sounds wonderful. We used to go off in our caravan, complete with DVDs we hadn't had a chance to watch, etc. I guess that's the next step up to glamping. 🙂 Genetics – a Death Sentence, or a Wake-up Call?

I had never heard of glamping until recently. We took an adventure tour of Ireland and our guide was looking to open a campground for glamping near where she grew up. Such an interesting idea. I like it. Weekends In Maine

Pamela,I say whatever rocks your boat then do it! For our first wedding anniversary, we went backpacking on an overnight trail with another couple. That was my first experience doing something that strenuous. I was so exhausted by the time we made camp that I collapsed soon after DH got the tent up. I was to beat to even help. We haven't done anything like that since then, either. I enjoyed camping when I was in Girl Scouts but as an adult…nope that's just not for me. I'm such a big wimp! Anywho, we have other ways in which we come toGether on that we can escape technology for a few hours to spend one another talking and sharing. Every couple needs these times away.
